(G)Nomadic Oaks afterschool program
Redwood fairies created an elaborate labyrinth that we like to revisit
Along the Bridgeview Trail we come across many trolls!
Found deep in Redwood Regional, this gnome/elf can old be found by those who still believe.

(G)nomdic Oaks:
Who: 4-8 year olds
When: Wednesdays afterschool
2:00-4:30pm with an option to drop off at 1:45pm
Where: Locations will change every 5-6 weeks and include natural spaces in Joaquin Miller, Redwood Regional and Upper Dimond Park
We hope to provide a space for young school aged children to come play in the forest after school and keep magic alive! Once a week on Wednesdays we will meet for 2.5 hours of play and exploration among the trees. We envision this as a (g)nomadic class that will make use of several different nature spaces including the greater Joaquin Miller Park, Redwood Regional (possible drop-offs range from but are not limited to Skyline Gate, Redwood Bowl, Dunn Trail, Canyon Meadow Staging Area), and Bridgeview Trail along Monterey Boulevard.
Children will have the time to leave school thoughts behind them as they climb trees, visit bug hotels, hike, and dive deep into play. We hope to chase some of the magic of childhood with these children as we move to spaces in nature that are known homes of fairies, trolls, gnomes and elves. We will plan on staying in each space for 5-6 weeks (pending weather), allowing the children to choose where we revisit in our final weeks of the school year.
